Scott's Landing Fish & Chips is a straightforward, no-frills seafood spot tucked into a modest strip mall in Surrey. It’s a place locals turn to when they want solid, freshly fried fish and seafood without fuss. The atmosphere leans toward the familiar neighborhood joint rather than a trendy or polished restaurant—expect a small, clean interior where service is friendly and efficient, often handled by just one or two staff, even during busier moments.

Known primarily for classic fish and chips, Scott’s Landing keeps the batter light and crisp without being greasy, wrapping generous portions of fresh cod or halibut. The hand-cut fries are homemade and thoughtfully salted, offering a comforting counterpart to the fish. There are also a variety of fried seafood appetizers, like calamari, coconut shrimp, and crab cakes, which appeal to those looking to share or sample different tastes. The menu includes family-sized packs, making it practical for get-togethers or takeaway meals.

This spot works well for casual lunches or early dinners when you’re craving the familiar satisfaction of seafood fried just right. Its simplicity and quick service make it a convenient stop for families or individuals wanting hearty portions without the wait. While the décor and setting might not impress visitors seeking an upscale dining experience, the focus here is clearly on delivering dependable, well-cooked fish and chips.

Some diners note the neighborhood location doesn’t add much charm, but it doesn’t detract significantly either—this is clearly a place where the food takes center stage. Fans of straightforward fish and chips who appreciate fresh ingredients and fair portion sizes will find Scott’s Landing meets those needs consistently. If you’re hoping for a more diverse seafood menu or other amenities like chowder on occasion, it’s worth checking ahead, as offerings can vary.

Nice, quaint and simple fish and chips restaurant. Went here for a late lunch and it wasn't busy. Fast customer service even with one staff. Although the clam chowder was not available, the fish and shrimps were fresh and of good quality.

I had the cod and fries with gravy and clam strips on the side. I really enjoyed the cod and the chips. The cod piece was a little small so I would recommend getting two for a heartier meal. The clam strips had a slight wasabi flavour. It was a little off-putting so I don't recommend it. I hope oysters return to their menu soon. The gravy was a little bit runny but it had a nice flavour.

From time to time you find one of these gems, a small shop that provides the most amazing dining experience. Scott's Landing Fish & Chips is one of these places. Clean, friendly and the food was well-portioned for the price. The batter was not greasy and hiding a small piece of fish; in fact the cut of the fish was quite large and fresh and extremely flavorful. The homemade fries not over-salted cooked to perfection with skins on just the way I like them . The variety of dishes were quite impressive, add to the fact the owner said he makes all the sauces himself. He gave us samples of the sauces and his very own New England clam chowder. (Next time we go I'm ordering a big bowl of the chowder!) The coconut shrimp was sinfully good and keto-friendly for those following the keto lifestyle. I could've just ordered a few plates of those and been happy with them -- the balance of shrimp and coconut, pure perfection . There was an old style shop ambiance that took me back many years. This place seemed up with the times as we were leaving there was a Skip the Dishes delivery driver picking up an order. On our way out we noticed the sign clearly marked on the door as well for Skip the Dishes. This has become my new number one fish & chips restaurant.

The cod, halibut and the coconut shrimp is just amazing. A bit pricey, atmosphere is deceiving, but the fish and chips is the best around and worth every penny.

Entering the place it will more likely to make you feel you are at the mom and pop business with friendly faces and greeting. I must admit I am not a big fan of fish and chips in general but when I get craving, this place visits my mind first and foremost. Price is ok. Batters are great and fish are chunky. Tar tar sauce is good as well. I don’t really like the neighborhood it’s located in but they definitely are a good food place ran by good folks.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips made by the owner! I’ve been around town eating and trying most of the fish and chip joint, but none of them compare to this place! Tried the 12oz basa filet for $15.6 before tax and it was huuge, fresh and the crispy skin is delicious. The owner was super nice and even fried a bit of red snapper for me to try! Family ran! Highly recommend ya’ll to try! The fish is way bigger, but I ate it all haha Thanks!

They definitely have one of the best clam chowders at a restaurant and I make my own version at home on occasion. I find most clam chowder to be watered down, floury or lacking ingredients when dining out. However, not the case here! It was a bit pricey at $10 a bowl. However, it was worth the splurge. We also ordered halibut fish and chips and a shrimp sampler. Everything was fried to perfection. I only wish they also had fried oysters on their menu and I would have ordered that as well. It is worth a visit without having to drive all the way to White Rock for fish and chips if you are in the area. There is ample free parking on the plaza. I do not need to fight crowds to get a seat. Only thing missing is an ocean view, but they have a fake ocean on their wall.

The vibe of the restaurant is rustic and calm and laid back and takes you back to the good old days. The foood though oh my god it’s out of this world delicious I couldn’t even take a picture of it because it looked so good but I emptied my portion lightning fast so overall 11/10 place, and the owner Dale is an amazing guy every sauce in here is home made by him go ahead and try it out yourselves for all the sea food lovers
